What is New Helena? We are a role playing forum using from The Sims 2 game to create our characters. Think of it as a second
identity, or in many cases more than that. Read about our home -> The City of
New Helena
How do I become involved? First of all read The
Rules and Explore the Town in order to be certain this is the place
for you. Next create a sim you wish to bring to life, acquire a few images of him/her and post an application by filling out This Form. Once you are approved you can begin to role play.
It is just so big! How do I get started? The best thing to do is think about who your character is, what they enjoy doing,
and take them there. If your gentleman is a pimp-want-to-be then the Red Light
District is where he should spend his time, and would avoid Troy
Bay. If your lady is snotty and prefers afternoon tea at The Ritz
and evenings at Aphrodite Spa, she would avoid SoHo with its pitiful artists and far away eyes.

How will people know what character you own? We have the White
Pages for that, just make a post with your real/internet name and everyone will know who you play and you will know who plays who as well.
I am still confused, how do I roleplay? The best advice we can give is to snoop around. Explore, see the other characters
and their lives, you will get the hang of things quickly enough. And when you get ready to jump in just scroll down to the cbox where everyone chats
and gets role plays started. (side note: in the cbox please use your real or internet name, which you can register so no one uses it but you by
clicking PROFILE beneath the Go button, not the name of your characters)
How do I get a home for my character? A money system will be put into effect at a later date, but for now visit the Housing section to find your answers.
How do I change my avatar? In the top right hand corner underneath the site banner you will see Control Panel/Options, once there click Edit Profile, there you will find a place to put the URL of the image you
wish to use.
Can I change the look of the forum? Yes, you can. Under Edit Profile scroll down until you see the option Theme. New Helena boasts of 19 themes and more always on the way. Even a basic
one without any images in case you are in a public place. So pick the one that is right for you!
